Tilsit has asked that all those who are providing clues for the Birthday Jumbo crossword should send them to him by Monday at the latest so we can publish the puzzle next weekend.
As is usual for the weekend prize crosswords, an assortment of clues, including some of the more difficult ones, have been selected and hints provided for them.

I solved this before I knew who the setter was and it took me almost 5* time. The pangram didn’t help my solve, but it was nice to see. I wasn’t familiar with the actresses, but I knew my drinks.

Good morning everyone and welcome to what I’m pretty sure is a non-RayT Thursday, but I’m not going to hazard a guess as to the setter. The puzzle was easily finished and would have been a 1* apart from one clue which held out for quite some time and pushed me into 2* time. I’ll be interested to see how you all got on with it.

Another great Sunday puzzle which cheered up a proper winter’s day, with freezing fog and ice that never thawed. My favourite was 19a, although there were quite a few ‘runners-up’ for the title.
